What is your shooting style?
I shoot in a more documentary style that focuses heavily on candid images and less on posing. That being said if you find yourself uncomfortable in front of the camera I am happy to help with little directions or prompts to get you feeling at ease. I aim to create images that show your genuine emotion as it unfolds throughout the day. Your story is important to me, and telling it authentically is my top priority.
What are your prices?
You can see a basic overview of my pricing through my Pricing page. But all weddings are unique and require different lengths of time. Get in touch to set up a free consultation where we will determine how many hours of coverage suits you best!
Do you work with a second shooter?
I shoot weddings both solo and with a second shooter. I generally recommend having an additional photographer for weddings over 100 guest. This ensures that all of your important people are sure to be represented throughout the day.
Do you work internationally?
Absolutely! The first time I was on a plane I was 6months old, and I have never been able to shake the travel bug since. I am a well seasoned traveler and would love to photograph your destination wedding. Please don't hesitate to contact me for international work. I also offer discounted rates on destination weddings as I know including an out of country vendor is expensive.
I see a lot of different locations on your blog posts. Where exactly are you based out of?
I am currently based out of beautiful Whistler, British Columbia- but I frequently travel for weddings /elopements and other projects. I am originally from Ontario, and spent 4 years working in the wedding industry in Toronto. I go back to Ontario frequently to see my family, and still see Toronto as a second home base. If you are planning a wedding in British Columbia, Ontario, or anywhere in the world please don't hesitate to get in touch!
Do you have recommendations for other vendors in your area?
You bet I do! Whistler has a wonderfully small wedding community. There are a ton of great vendors to choose from, and I would be happy to provide you with a list of some of my favourites!
How many photos do you deliver?
The amount of photos delivered varies with each shoot. An average wedding (8 hours) normally yield between 600-800 edited images. For my portrait / lifestyle sessions I deliver between 50 - 80. It's all about the quality not the quantity.
Do you provide every image you shot?
I go through all the images of the day and select only those that best reflect your story. I take out all the blinking, chewing, or otherwise unflattering shots. Each file I deliver is edited to create a cohesive colour tone and lighting scenario that keeps everything consistent.
When will we get our images?
You will receive an online gallery of your high resolution images with a custom URL and a personal download link within 4-6 weeks of your wedding day. My turn around time for portrait sessions is 2 weeks.
Do you back up our images?
Definitely! Once I have shot your wedding (or portrait session) I back up the images on to an external hard drive. After your custom web gallery is sent to you I still keep the entire collection for 1 year in my archives.
Do you sell albums?
Absolutely! I am a huge advocate of printing your images, and seeing them all laid out in a book is even better. I work with you to create your perfect album that you will be able to pull off the book shelf any time to relive your day over and over again. I also sell prints through the custom web gallery that you receive.
How do we book?
Please email me through my Contact Me page and tell me a little info about you and your wedding. We will set up your free consultation and go from there. To secure a date I require a signed contract and a non-refundable deposit.
